Reno Botox at a Glance

Botox at Our Reno Center
Frown lines, forehead creases, crow’s feet. The expressions you make a thousand times a day eventually leave a mark, and no serum is going to talk them out of it. Botox relaxes the specific muscles doing the creasing, so the lines soften and the new ones stop forming. Fifteen minutes, a handful of tiny injections, and you are back to your day in Reno. No downtime, no recovery, no one needs to know unless you tell them.

What is Botox?
Botox is a purified injectable that temporarily relaxes the muscles responsible for expression lines. It is one of the most studied and most widely performed aesthetic treatments available, with decades of safety data behind it. At our Reno center, every treatment is delivered by a licensed injector who maps your dose to your face, not to a chart.
How Botox works
When you frown, squint, or raise your brows, the muscle contracts and the skin folds over it. Do that enough times over enough years and the fold sets into a line that stays put even when your face is at rest. Botox works by temporarily interrupting the signal from nerve to muscle, so the muscle relaxes and the skin above it smooths out. The lines you already have soften, and the ones forming get a chance to ease off.
Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau, Daxxify
Botox is the household name, but it is one of several neuromodulators we carry. Dysport tends to spread a little more and can suit larger areas like the forehead. Daxxify is formulated to last longer for some clients. Your injector will talk through which product fits your muscle strength, your goals, and how your body has responded before.
Built around your face
There is no standard dose. A first-time client easing in with baby Botox and a long-term client maintaining a strong forehead need very different plans. Your injector assesses your muscle movement at a complimentary consultation and doses to keep you expressive, not frozen. Nevada state law sets a 50-unit minimum for tox treatments, and injectables are performed only when a Nurse Practitioner is on site.

Your visit
What to Expect at Your Botox Appointment
From the first hello to the moment you walk back out, here is how a Botox visit at OrangeTwist Reno actually runs.

Your You Review
Your injector will look at how your face moves, listen to what is bothering you, and recommend the areas and units that make sense. Pricing is walked through transparently before anything happens. No pressure to proceed on the day.
After
Before
Preparation
Avoid blood-thinning medications like ibuprofen, aspirin, fish oil, and vitamin E for a few days beforehand where possible to reduce the chance of bruising. Skip alcohol for 24 hours. Come in with a clean face and no need for numbing in most cases.

The Treatment
Your injector marks the injection points and delivers a series of tiny injections with a very fine needle. Most clients describe each one as a quick, spicy pinch that is over in a second. The whole appointment takes 15 to 30 minutes depending on the number of areas.

Aftercare
Stay upright for four hours, skip the gym and heat (hot yoga, sauna) for 24 hours, and avoid rubbing the treated areas. That is genuinely all of it. You can drive yourself home and head straight back to your day.
Real People, Real Results
Botox Before & Afters
When Botox is done well, people notice something has changed without being able to say exactly what. You look refreshed, more alert, like you have had a genuinely good week. That is the benchmark our injectors work to. The pairs below show the kind of change to expect, area by area.
Results typically last three to four months. Many clients find their treatments hold longer with a consistent schedule. Over time, the targeted muscles become less active between appointments, which can mean less product needed and more time between visits. Your provider will map out a realistic maintenance plan based on how your results settle.
After
Before
Forehead
The horizontal lines that show every time you raise your brows. A few precise injections relax the muscle that creates them, so the lines soften without flattening your expression. You still look animated, just less etched.
After
Before
Frown Lines (the 11s)
The two vertical lines between the brows that can read as tense or tired even when you are neither. Botox relaxes the muscles that draw them together, easing the 11s while keeping the rest of your face fully expressive.
After
Before
Crow’s Feet
The fine lines that fan from the outer corners of your eyes when you smile. We keep the smile and soften the crinkle that lingers after it, so the skin sits smoother at rest with your expressions intact.

Masseter (Jawline)
A heavy or square jaw is often less about bone structure and more about an overworked masseter, the muscle that powers chewing and clenching. Botox relaxes it over time, gradually slimming the lower face into a softer, more tapered jawline. It can ease jaw tension, grinding, and clenching too.
Why Botox at OrangeTwist Reno
Six reasons clients across Reno and south Reno, Sparks, and Damonte Ranch choose OrangeTwist at the South Virginia Street center for their Botox over the many injector options in the area.
Our injectors dose for movement, not paralysis. The goal is that you look rested and like yourself, not like you had work done. If you have seen frozen foreheads elsewhere, that is not what we do here.
Your Reno injectors are here regularly, not flying in once a month. You see the same person who learns how your muscles respond and adjusts your plan over time. That continuity is what keeps results consistent visit after visit.
Every treatment at Reno is performed by a licensed injector under the medical supervision of Dr. Rachel Mason, MD. You are in trained, credentialed hands, every visit.
Our injectors recommend the units your face actually needs, not the maximum they can sell. If you are better served easing in, they will tell you.
Every You Review is on us, every time. Not just on your first visit. Any time you want to reassess areas, adjust units, or add a treatment, the consultation is on us.
Link your Allē account before your visit and points stack from your first treatment. For a treatment you repeat every few months, that adds up over time.

What Your Botox Results Look Like
Botox is not instant. Here is the honest timeline for a single treatment, and how results hold with a consistent cadence.
-
The first few days
You will start to notice movement softening around day three or four. There is nothing to see immediately after treatment beyond tiny marks that fade within the hour.
-
Two weeks in
Full effect lands at around 10 to 14 days. This is when your injector likes to see you back for a complimentary two-week check to confirm the result and top up if anything needs balancing.
-
Three to four months
Results typically hold for three to four months, then movement gradually returns. Clients who treat on a consistent cadence often find they need slightly less over time as the muscles learn to relax.

Not in our injectors’ hands. They dose for natural movement, so you still make expressions, just without the deep lines. If you have seen overdone Botox elsewhere, tell your injector at your consultation and they will plan accordingly.
It depends entirely on your muscle strength and the areas treated. A first-timer easing in needs far fewer units than someone maintaining a strong forehead. Your injector recommends the units your face actually needs and walks through pricing before anything is booked. In Nevada, a 50-unit minimum applies to tox treatments under state law.
Most clients describe each injection as a quick, spicy pinch, gone in a second. The needle is very fine and no numbing is needed in most cases.
Botox relaxes muscles to soften movement lines. Dermal fillers add volume to restore or refine areas that have lost it. Many clients use both, and your injector will explain what each can do for you.
Movement starts to soften around day three or four, with the full effect at 10 to 14 days. We like to see you at two weeks for a complimentary check.
Typically three to four months. Many clients settle into a cadence every few months, and some find they need slightly less over time.
Botox is priced per unit, from $10 per unit, plus an injection fee. The number of units depends on the areas treated, which your injector maps out at your complimentary consultation. A lip flip is a set service fee rather than per unit. Nevada state law sets a 50-unit minimum for tox treatments.
Two ways. One: TwistUp membership unlocks exclusive per-unit pricing plus Beauty Bank credit toward future treatments. Two: link your Allē account before your visit and points stack from your first treatment. Your injector will walk through what fits your visit pattern.
