What is medical weight loss and how does it work?
Medical weight loss is a clinically supervised program that combines prescription medication with structured support to help eligible clients achieve and maintain weight loss. At OrangeTwist, the program is built around GLP-1 receptor agonists, the class of medications that has changed the landscape of weight management over the past five years.
GLP-1 medications work with the body’s natural appetite and satiety signaling. They slow gastric emptying, reduce cravings, and increase the feeling of fullness after eating. The result, for eligible clients, is a sustainable reduction in caloric intake without the constant willpower load that traditional dieting demands.
TwistOff offers two tiers reflecting the two main GLP-1 medications: TwistOff (Semaglutide, the active ingredient in Ozempic and Wegovy) and TwistOff+ (Tirzepatide, the active ingredient in Mounjaro and Zepbound). Eligibility, dosing, and protocol are determined by your provider at your You Review.

Your TwistOff journey starts with a provider-led You Review. The provider will discuss your health history, current medications, and weight loss goals. If you are clinically eligible, they will walk through the program structure, the medication options, and what to expect at each stage.
Onboarding
Once enrolled, your provider will start you on the appropriate medication and dose. You will receive guidance on self-administration, what to expect in the first weeks, and how to manage common side effects. Nutritional and lifestyle support is built into the program from day one.
Ongoing Care
You will check in with your provider on a monthly basis. Dosing is adjusted as needed based on your response, tolerance, and progress toward your goals. The medication is self-administered as a weekly injection.
Maintenance and Transition
As you reach your target weight, your provider will work with you on a maintenance plan. This may involve continued medication at a reduced dose, a transition off medication with ongoing lifestyle support, or a tailored protocol based on your specific clinical picture.
