Regenerative
Skin and Scalp Treatments at OrangeTwist
Use what your body already makes. PRP, PRF, and exosomes harness your own growth factors and cellular signaling to renew skin, restore hair, and rebuild what time has thinned. Real biology. Real results. No prescription required.
About the treatment

Regenerative aesthetics, designed by your own biology
Regenerative treatments work differently from injectables that add to the face. They use your own platelets, plasma, or signaling molecules to trigger renewal at the cellular level. The result is improvement that looks completely natural because it is. Your body did the work. We just gave it the signal.
- Uses your own biology
- For face and scalp
- Naturally regenerative results
What are PRP, PRF, and exosomes, and how do they work?
Regenerative aesthetics is the category of treatments that use biologically active substances, drawn from your own body or bioengineered, to trigger tissue renewal. At OrangeTwist, the three lead treatments in this category are PRP, PRF, and exosomes.
PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is concentrated platelets drawn from a small sample of your own blood. The blood is spun in a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich layer, which is then injected or applied topically to the treatment area. Platelets release growth factors that stimulate cellular repair, collagen production, and tissue renewal. PRP has been used in orthopedics and sports medicine for decades and has well-established aesthetic applications.
PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) is the next generation of PRP. It uses a slower centrifuge speed to preserve a wider range of cellular components, including white blood cells and stem cells, in a fibrin matrix that releases growth factors over a longer period. Many providers prefer PRF for its sustained release profile. Exosomes are tiny signaling vesicles that carry growth factors, proteins, and genetic material between cells. They can be derived from a range of sources and are typically applied topically after a microneedling or laser procedure, signaling cells in the treatment area to behave more like younger, healthier cells.
Exosomes are tiny signaling vesicles that carry growth factors, proteins, and genetic material between cells. They can be derived from a range of sources, including mesenchymal stem cells, and are typically applied topically after a microneedling or laser procedure. Exosomes work as messengers, telling cells in the treatment area to behave more like younger, healthier cells.

The OrangeTwist Difference
Regenerative treatments require careful blood handling, sterile preparation, and trained technique. Every PRP, PRF, and exosome treatment at OrangeTwist is performed by a licensed provider with specific training on the protocol and supervised by our Medical Advisory Board.
Regenerative treatments are a course, not a single visit. We price the realistic full protocol transparently at your You Review and walk through what to expect at each stage.
Regenerative treatments often combine with other procedures (microneedling, RF, scalp care) for amplified results. Your provider will design a treatment plan, not push a single product.
Bright, welcoming, and run by people who genuinely care about your experience and your long-term results.
Prep 101
Your Treatment Timeline

You Review
Your provider will assess your concern, examine the treatment area, and recommend whether PRP, PRF, exosomes, or a combination suits your goals. For hair restoration, this includes a scalp assessment and a realistic conversation about what regenerative treatments can and cannot do. They will walk through the protocol and pricing before anything is booked.

Onboarding
For PRP and PRF: drink plenty of water in the 24 hours before your appointment to make blood draw easier. Eat beforehand. Avoid blood thinners, including ibuprofen, aspirin, fish oil, and vitamin E, for a few days where possible. For scalp treatments, come with clean, product-free hair.

Ongoing Care
For PRP and PRF, your provider will draw a small sample of your blood, spin it in a centrifuge in-center, and prepare the active layer for injection or topical application. Topical numbing is applied before injection. The injection phase is spicy but quick. Exosomes are typically applied after microneedling or a similar procedure that creates channels for the product to penetrate.

Maintenance and Transition
For scalp treatments, avoid washing your hair for the first six hours, then return to your normal routine. For facial treatments, avoid heavy skincare, retinoids, and exfoliants for 48 hours. Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, and direct sun for 24 hours. Your provider will share specific aftercare for your protocol.
Slow signals, real change.
Regenerative treatments work on biological timelines. For facial applications, you will see initial brightness and improved texture within two to four weeks. The deeper collagen response and tissue improvement build over three to six months as your body responds to the growth factor signaling.
For hair restoration, the timeline is longer.
Most clients see reduced shedding within the first one to two months and visible density improvement at four to six months. A typical course is three to four sessions spaced four to six weeks apart, followed by maintenance every six to 12 months.
Regenerative treatments work best for early to moderate concerns. Late-stage hair loss or significant volume loss may benefit from combining regenerative protocols with other treatments. Your provider will set realistic expectations at your You Review.

Questions and Answers
PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is concentrated platelets drawn from a small sample of your own blood. The blood is spun in a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich layer, which is then injected or applied topically to the treatment area. The platelets release growth factors that stimulate cellular repair and tissue renewal.
PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) is the next generation of PRP. It uses a slower centrifuge speed to preserve a wider range of cellular components, including white blood cells and stem cells, in a fibrin matrix that releases growth factors over a longer period. Many providers prefer PRF for its sustained release profile and slightly stronger response.
Exosomes are tiny signaling vesicles that carry growth factors, proteins, and genetic material between cells. In aesthetic medicine, exosomes are typically derived from mesenchymal stem cells and applied topically after a microneedling or laser procedure. They work as messengers, signaling cells in the treatment area to behave more like younger, healthier cells.
No. Exosomes are released by stem cells but are not stem cells themselves. They are signaling vesicles, not living cells. This is part of why exosomes have a different regulatory and safety profile from stem cell treatments.
It depends on your concern and goals. PRP and PRF are well-established for hair restoration and under-eye rejuvenation. Exosomes are often used for skin quality, scalp health, and recovery after procedures like microneedling. Many clients use a combination across a course. Your provider will recommend the right protocol at your You Review.
Common applications include hair thinning and early hair loss, scalp health, under-eye hollowing and dark circles, skin quality and texture, post-procedure recovery, and collagen induction when combined with microneedling. Your provider will assess what is right for your case.
Yes. Regenerative treatments are protocol-led, often combined with other procedures, and the right approach depends on your specific concern. Every OrangeTwist client starts with a complimentary You Review where your provider will assess your goals and design a protocol.
Your provider will examine your scalp, discuss your hair loss pattern and history, ask about family hair loss, and assess whether you are a strong candidate for regenerative treatment. They will discuss realistic expectations and may recommend complementary approaches (topical treatments, oral medications) where appropriate.
Let your provider know about any medical conditions, medications (especially blood thinners and hormone medications), hair loss history including family pattern, any previous regenerative treatments, autoimmune conditions, and whether you are pregnant or planning pregnancy.
Pricing depends on the protocol (PRP vs PRF vs exosomes), the treatment area, and the number of sessions. Because regenerative treatments work best as a course, OrangeTwist prices packages. Your provider will walk through exact pricing at your You Review. TwistUp members receive exclusive pricing benefits.
Allow 60 to 90 minutes for a typical session. This includes time for blood draw (for PRP and PRF), centrifuge processing, numbing cream to take effect, and the treatment itself. Exosome treatments combined with microneedling can take longer.
Most regenerative protocols call for three to four initial sessions spaced four to six weeks apart, followed by maintenance every six to 12 months. Your provider will recommend a realistic schedule based on your specific concern.
Yes. OrangeTwist offers financing through CareCredit, Alle Cherry, and PatientFi. Ask your provider about options at your You Review.
For facial treatments, you will see brightness and improved texture within two to four weeks, with deeper collagen response building over three to six months. For hair restoration, most clients see reduced shedding within one to two months and visible density improvement at four to six months. Results build cumulatively across the course.
Most clients see results lasting 12 to 18 months from a full course, with maintenance sessions every six to 12 months to sustain results. Individual longevity varies based on the underlying cause of the concern and lifestyle factors.
PRP works best on hair follicles that are still active but weakened, not on follicles that are fully dormant. For early to moderate hair thinning, PRP can meaningfully improve density and slow further loss. For advanced hair loss where follicles are no longer active, regenerative treatments alone are unlikely to produce dramatic regrowth.
No treatment works for everyone. Regenerative response varies between individuals based on genetics, age, the underlying cause of the concern, and overall health. Most clients see meaningful improvement. Your provider will set realistic expectations honestly.
The blood draw feels like a routine lab draw, brief and easily managed. Injection of PRP or PRF is spicy but manageable with topical numbing. Scalp injections can feel particularly sensitive given the nerve density of the area. Your provider will adjust pace and pressure to your comfort.
Most clients return to normal activities immediately. For facial injections, expect mild redness, swelling, or pinpoint bruising for 24 to 48 hours. For scalp treatments, your scalp may feel tender for a day. Avoid washing hair for the first six hours after a scalp treatment.
For 24 to 48 hours: avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, hot showers, alcohol, and direct sun. Avoid heavy skincare, retinoids, and active exfoliants for facial treatments. Avoid styling products and harsh shampoos for scalp treatments.
Yes. Regenerative treatments often combine well with microneedling, RF microneedling, fractional laser, and PRX. The combination amplifies the collagen response and recovery profile. Your provider will design a treatment sequence at your You Review.
Yes. Because PRP and PRF use your own blood, the risk of allergic or immune reaction is essentially zero. They have an extensive clinical safety record across orthopedics, sports medicine, and aesthetic applications. At OrangeTwist, every treatment is performed by a licensed provider with sterile in-center preparation.
Exosomes have a strong emerging safety record in aesthetic applications, though the regulatory landscape continues to evolve. At OrangeTwist, exosome products are sourced through licensed pharmaceutical partners with documented quality standards. Your provider will discuss product specifics at your You Review.
Regenerative treatments are generally not recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active blood disorder or are on certain blood thinners, have an active infection in the treatment area, have certain autoimmune conditions, have active cancer or a history of certain cancers, or have a history of keloid scarring. Always disclose your full medication and health history at your You Review.
Common side effects include temporary redness, swelling, mild bruising, and tenderness at the injection sites. Scalp treatments may cause temporary scalp sensitivity. All typically resolve within days. Rare side effects include infection at the injection site, which is why sterile technique matters.
Yes. PRP, PRF, and exosomes work independently of skin tone and are safe across all skin types.
All regenerative treatments at OrangeTwist are performed by licensed providers with specific training on the protocol, sterile blood handling, and complication management. Our providers are continuously updated and supervised by our Medical Advisory Board.
