Shave the area the day before, and avoid waxing or plucking for a few weeks beforehand since the laser needs the root intact. Avoid sun exposure and self-tanner on the area for a couple of weeks, and skip retinols nearby for a few days.
The Treatment
Your provider glides the Candela handpiece across the area with a cooling system running to keep you comfortable. Most clients describe each pulse as a warm, spicy snap. Small areas take a few minutes, larger areas around 20 to 30.
Aftercare
Expect some redness or mild warmth for a few hours, like a mild sunburn. Avoid heat, sweat, and sun for 24 to 48 hours, and keep SPF on the area. You can return to your day right away.
