Sculptra is an FDA-approved injectable biostimulator made from poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). It sits in a different category from hyaluronic acid filler: rather than adding volume directly, it signals your skin to produce its own collagen where structure has thinned.
How Sculptra Works

The Treatment
Sculptra is delivered as a series of small injections, usually with numbing, across about 30 to 45 minutes. Most clients find it more spicy than sore.
Aftercare

Both are biostimulators, but they are built differently. Radiesse is calcium-based and gives some immediate volume alongside the collagen build. Sculptra is PLLA-based and works almost entirely through gradual collagen growth, the choice when a slow, quiet build is the goal.
