Density
Firmer, smoother skin, with no needles and no downtime. Density uses radiofrequency heat to reach the deeper layers of skin where collagen lives, encouraging your body to rebuild its own structure over the months that follow.

What is Density?
Density is a non-invasive radiofrequency (RF) treatment that heats the deeper layers of skin to encourage new collagen and elastin. Energy travels through a specialized electrode membrane to a controlled depth, while a built-in cooling function protects the surface of the skin and lets the heat work further below. No needles, no incisions, just targeted warmth that puts your skin to work rebuilding its own structure.
Unlike ZenTite, OrangeTwist’s radiofrequency microneedling treatment Density skips the microneedling step entirely, so there is no needle penetration involved. The result is a smoother, firmer look that keeps improving as collagen continues to build in the weeks and months after treatment.
What to Expect
A Density treatment typically takes 20 to 45 minutes, depending on the area being treated. No numbing cream or anesthesia is needed. Most clients describe the sensation as warmth, tolerable rather than painful, as your Licensed Provider moves the handpiece across the area in a controlled pattern, checking in on your comfort along the way.
There is no downtime. Some clients notice mild redness, tingling, or swelling right after treatment, which typically settles within 48 hours. Occasionally, light bruising or numbness can linger for a few days to a few weeks. Most clients return to their normal routine the same day.
Afterward, moisturize if the skin feels dry, apply a broad-spectrum mineral sunscreen (SPF 30) to guard against pigmentation, and skip alcohol, saunas, hot baths, and strenuous exercise for at least one week. Your provider will walk you through any additional aftercare specific to your treatment area.

Who It’s For and Results
Density is a good fit if you are noticing mild to moderate skin laxity, sagging or crepey texture, fine lines, or a general loss of firmness, and you want a non-invasive way to address it. It can be used on the face, neck, décolletage, abdomen, upper arm, above the knee, and inner thigh.
Most clients start with a series of one to two treatments spaced three to six months apart, with ongoing maintenance once or twice a year to sustain results. Visible improvement typically begins around four to six weeks after treatment, as new collagen starts to form, and continues to build for three to six months. Because collagen keeps developing for weeks after each session, results tend to look better over time rather than all at once.
Every plan starts with a complimentary You Review, where your Licensed Provider reviews your health history and confirms whether Density, or another treatment, is the right fit for your skin and goals.
Frequently Asked Questions: Density
Density is OrangeTwist’s non-invasive radiofrequency treatment for skin tightening. It heats the deeper layers of skin to trigger new collagen and elastin, firming and smoothing skin without needles or downtime.
Both use radiofrequency to build collagen, but ZenTite pairs that energy with microneedling for a stronger response on scars, texture, and deeper laxity, while Density delivers RF heat alone, with no needles involved. Your provider can help you decide which is the better starting point at your You Review.
Most clients describe Density as warm rather than painful, and numbing cream typically is not needed. Your provider adjusts the energy throughout your treatment based on how you’re feeling
There is no downtime. Some redness, tingling, or mild swelling right after treatment usually settles within 48 hours. Occasional light bruising or numbness can take a few days to a few weeks to fully resolve.
Most clients start with a series of one to two treatments spaced three to six months apart, then move to maintenance once or twice a year. Results build gradually as new collagen forms.
All three are non-surgical, energy-based skin tightening treatments, but the technology differs. Ultherapy uses focused ultrasound with real-time imaging, Sofwave uses parallel ultrasound, and Density uses radiofrequency heat. Your provider will recommend the option best suited to your skin and goals at your You Review.
