Beach-Proof Your Best Expressions
Squinting into the Pacific glare and laughing through beach days are good for the soul and tough on the upper face. The expression lines are fine; the permanent frown is not. Botox at our El Segundo center slows the settling while leaving the personality that earns them.

What is Botox and how does it work?
What is Botox?
Botox is a purified injectable that temporarily relaxes the specific muscles responsible for expression lines. It is the most studied neurotoxin in aesthetic medicine, with a safety record built over two decades of consistent use. At our El Segundo center, every injection is carried out by a licensed registered nurse working under medical oversight.
How Botox works
Botox temporarily relaxes the facial muscles responsible for expression lines. The injection blocks the chemical signal that tells those muscles to contract. The skin above softens, and lines become noticeably smoother. The effect is temporary, which is what makes the treatment so controllable and adjustable over time.
Why it works for the face you actually have
Some clients want a full smooth, others want movement left in. New to it? Baby Botox uses smaller, strategically placed doses for a lighter initial result with more natural movement. Your South Bay injector will walk through what fits your face at the You Review.

Fine Lines and Wrinkle
The everyday lines that build from years of expression, plus the ones that start to settle in even at rest.
Forehead Line Treatment
The horizontal lines that show when you raise your brows.
Frown Line Treatment
The two vertical lines between the brows, the ones that read as the 11s.
Crow’s Feet Treatment
The fine lines that fan from the outer corners when you smile or squint.
Lip Line Treatment
The fine vertical lines above the top lip, the ones lipstick likes to travel into.
Marionette Line Treatment
The lines that run from the corners of the mouth down toward the chin and can read as a permanent frown.
Thin Lips Treatment
Subtle, natural fullness
Jawline Definition Treatment
A jawline can blur from fat, from softening skin, or from lost structure.
Why Botox at OrangeTwist South Bay
Six reasons clients from Manhattan Beach to Playa Vista book their tox in The Works rather than the spot next to the gym.
We dose for a rested, refreshed look, not a flat forehead. The brief is always you, minus the angry eleven, not you replaced with a smoother version of someone else.
Your tox is placed by a registered nurse trained specifically in facial anatomy, working under medical oversight. No rushing, no cutting credentials.
If you need less, you get quoted less. We would rather you come back in three months happy than walk out today over-treated and over-charged.
Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau and Daxxify all on site, so your injector can match the product to how fast you want it working and how long you want it lasting.
Beyond the classic three, the South Bay team covers lip flips, gummy smiles, masseters for jaw slimming, platysmal neck bands, and more — no referral needed.
Sunday appointments mean tox fits a weekend, and membership earns its keep here first: exclusive per-unit pricing on every visit plus Beauty Bank credit toward whatever is next.

What to Expect at Your South Bay Botox Appointment
From the first hello to the moment you walk back out into The Works, here is how a Botox visit at our El Segundo center actually runs.

You Review
Your Botox journey starts with a complimentary You Review. A licensed provider will get to know your face, listen to your goals, and map out a personalized plan. No pressure, no hard sell. Just honest, expert guidance before anything begins.

Preparation
A few days before your appointment, avoid blood thinners like ibuprofen and aspirin where possible, and hold off on alcohol for 24 hours beforehand. Come in with a clean face. That is all there is to it.

The Treatment
Your provider uses a very fine needle to deliver small, precise amounts of Botox into the targeted muscles. The whole process takes 15 to 30 minutes. Most clients describe each injection as the lightest spicy on the menu, gone in a second.

Aftercare
Stay upright for four hours, skip the gym for the rest of the day, and steer clear of rubbing or applying pressure to the treated areas. Light redness or minor swelling at the injection sites is normal and settles quickly. Your provider will confirm exactly what to expect at your appointment.

Real Results from Real South Bay Clients
Botox is gradual, not instant. Here is the realistic timeline from a single visit, and how it holds.
Real People, Real Results
Botox Before & Afters
When Botox is done well, people notice something has changed without being able to say exactly what. You look refreshed, more alert, like you have had a genuinely good week. That is the benchmark our providers work to.
Results typically last three to four months. Many clients find their treatments hold longer with a consistent schedule. Over time, the targeted muscles become less active between appointments, which can mean less product needed and more time between visits. Your provider will map out a realistic maintenance plan based on how your results settle.
After
Before
Forehead
Those horizontal lines that show up every time you raise your eyebrows in surprise, agreement, or mild disbelief. A few precise injections relax the muscle that creates them, so the lines soften without flattening your expression. You still look animated. Just less etched.
After
Before
Smile Lines
The lines that frame your mouth and deepen with every laugh, sip, and sentence. A small amount of Botox can soften the muscles that pull the lines deeper, smoothing the area around the lips without changing how you smile, talk, or eat. Subtle, balanced, and very much still you.
After
Before
Crow’s Feet
The fine lines that fan out from the outer corners of your eyes when you smile. We don’t want to take the smile away, just the crinkle that lingers after it. Botox softens the muscle around the eye so the skin sits smoother at rest, while keeping your expressions fully intact.

Masseter (Jawline)
A heavy or square jaw is often less about bone structure and more about an overworked masseter muscle, the one that powers chewing and clenching. Botox relaxes it over time, gradually slimming the lower face into a softer, more tapered jawline. Bonus: it can ease jaw tension, grinding, and clenching too.
-
When you see results
Most clients start to see Botox kick in within three to five days, with full results showing up around two weeks after treatment. Your provider may invite you back for a two-week check to fine-tune anything that needs it.
-
How long results last
Results typically last three to four months. Many clients stretch it to five with a consistent schedule. Over time, the targeted muscles become less active between appointments, which can mean less product needed and more time between visits.

Building a maintenance rhythm
Botox lands best as part of a routine, not a one-off. Your South Bay provider will map out a realistic maintenance plan based on how your results settle, and how your face moves through everyday life.

Barely. The needles are very fine and the injections are quick. Most clients describe a brief pinch and nothing more. Numbing is not typically needed.
Not in our hands. We dose for natural movement, softening the lines while keeping your expressions. If you have seen frozen before, that is over-treatment, not what Botox does at the right dose.
All relax expression muscles the same way. They differ slightly in how quickly they kick in, how they spread, and how long they last. Daxxify has the longest duration at six months or more for most clients. Your injector will match the formula to your goals and budget at the You Review.
Smaller doses placed more strategically for a lighter, softer result with more natural movement. A popular starting point for first-timers or clients who want the refresh without the full correction.
Typically three to four months, longer with Daxxify. First-timers sometimes metabolize it a little faster. Treat consistently and the muscle learns to hold the result longer.
Softening starts around day three, with the full effect at day seven to fourteen. Two weeks is your benchmark and the right time for a complimentary touch-up review if anything needs balancing.
Botox at OrangeTwist South Bay starts from $295. Your final price depends on the areas treated and the number of units your injector recommends. Pricing is quoted upfront at the You Review — no surprises.
Two ways. One: TwistUp membership unlocks exclusive pricing on every visit, plus Beauty Bank credit toward future treatments. Two: book a complimentary You Review and ask about current member promotions.
