Laser hair removal uses targeted light energy to disable hair follicles at the root. The laser is attracted to the pigment in the hair, travels down the shaft, and delivers heat that stops the follicle producing new growth. Preparation
Shave the area 12 to 24 hours before your session, skip waxing and plucking for four weeks beforehand, and avoid self-tanner and fresh sun on the area. Clean skin, no lotions on the day.
The Treatment
Quick pulses with built-in cooling, a sensation most clients describe as a warm snap, spicy in the brisk way rather than the painful one. Underarms take about 15 minutes; full legs closer to an hour.
Aftercare
Mild redness or warmth for a few hours is normal. Keep the area out of direct sun, skip hot yoga and the sauna for 24 hours, wear SPF religiously, and expect treated hairs to shed over the following two weeks.
