PRX at OrangeTwist
The chemical peel that does not peel. PRX is the no-downtime peel that wakes up tired skin, softens fine lines, and brings back the bounce, without the flaking, redness, or social downtime that traditional peels come with. The glow happens. Your weekend plans survive.
About the treatment

Real results, without the recovery
At OrangeTwist, PRX is delivered by a licensed provider trained in the protocol, using medical-grade formulas that reach the layer just beneath the surface without damaging the skin above it. No needles. No visible peeling. No week spent avoiding people.
What is a no-peel peel, and how does it work?
A traditional chemical peel removes the surface layer of skin to force renewal underneath, which is exactly why peeling, redness, and downtime come with the territory. PRX works the other way around. The formula is massaged into clean, prepped skin in layers, passing through the surface without injuring it and stimulating collagen and elastin production at that deeper layer. The surface stays intact. The response happens underneath.
That’s the whole trick, and it’s why PRX is classified as a topical biostimulator rather than a peel. You feel firmer skin the same day, you can wear makeup on the way out, and the result keeps building across your series.
- No needles, no peeling, no downtime
- Real collagen and elastin response
- Safe for all skin tones, year-round
One family, Three formulas, One that’s yours
PRX is an Italian-developed system of needle-free topical biostimulators, used in over sixty-seven countries. Every formula shares the same core mechanism: stimulate the skin from within, leave the surface alone. Where they differ is the concern each one is built to solve. Your provider matches the formula to your skin at your You Review, and it is genuinely a matching exercise, not an upsell ladder. The right PRX for you may well be the simplest one.
PRX Derm Perfexion (The Original)
Also known as PRX-T33, this is the formula that started the no-peel category. A precise blend works below the surface to stimulate collagen while the surface itself stays exactly where it should.
Derm Perfexion is the tightening and toning specialist: the TTL Effect, Tighten, Tone, Lift. It is the right call for fine lines, laxity, and skin that has started to lose its snap, and it is specifically suited to thin, delicate, or rosacea-prone skin that rules out more aggressive options. Most clients feel palpable firmness after the very first session. No surface damage, no social exit strategy required.
Series of four sessions, one week apart. Maintenance every four weeks.
PRX-PLUS (The Brightener)
PRX-PLUS is the precision player in the family, built for skin that needs more than a glow boost. The same biostimulating base is joined by a brightening ingredient that supports the skin’s natural process for shedding pigment, evening out tone as your skin renews itself.
That makes PRX-PLUS the pick when melasma, stubborn dark spots, deep wrinkles, or thick, sun-damaged skin is the real concern. The BTL Effect: Brighten, Tighten, Lift.
The two-week gap between sessions is not a scheduling quirk, it is the protocol. Your skin needs that window to properly turn over between visits.
Series of five sessions, two weeks apart. Maintenance every six weeks.
PRX C (The Reviver)
The newest formula in the family, PRX C is built for skin that reads dull, grey, tired, or just plain over it. It takes the PRX-PLUS base and adds a stable form of Vitamin C for extra antioxidant support.
Where Derm Perfexion targets firmness and PRX-PLUS targets pigment, PRX C targets radiance. It is the answer to devitalized skin, the flat, fatigued look that builds up from city living, bad sleep, stress, and everything else your skin has been quietly absorbing. Your skin is not damaged. It is depleted. PRX C is the reset.
Series of four sessions, two weeks apart.

The OrangeTwist Difference
There are plenty of places to get a PRX treatment. Fewer that get the formula right. The OrangeTwist Difference is the standard we hold every visit to, from the provider in the room to the membership in your pocket. Here’s what that looks like in practice.
Every PRX treatment at OrangeTwist is delivered by a licensed provider trained in the protocol and guided by our Medical Advisory Board. PRX is a technique-dependent treatment, the number of layers, the pressure, and the pacing all change the result. Training is the difference between a glow and a proper collagen response.
Derm Perfexion, PRX-PLUS, and PRX C are not interchangeable, and the newest formula is not automatically the best one for you. Your provider matches the formulation to your concern, your skin type, and your goals. No upselling to the more complex version if you don’t need it.
PRX works as a series. We price the whole series at your You Review so you can see the full plan before you commit to any of it, with TwistUp member benefits on every visit. No single-session pressure, no surprise on the fourth appointment.
All three PRX formulas amplify when paired with microneedling, the micro-channels let the formula work at greater depth. Your provider will recommend the pairing when your concern genuinely calls for it, usually for scarring or significant textural change, and leave it alone when it doesn’t.
OrangeTwist stocks ALASTIN Skincare, ZO Skin Health, SkinCeuticals, and Epicutis in-center. Your provider will recommend what genuinely suits your skin. With PRX-PLUS especially, consistent home care is one of the biggest factors in how your pigmentation responds.

Let’s get started
Your OrangeTwist PRX journey starts with a You Review. Your provider will assess your skin, listen to what you want to change, and recommend the right formula and series length. No pressure, no upsell. Just a clear, honest plan built around your skin

You Review
A complimentary consultation before anything is booked. Your provider will look at your skin type, thickness, tone, and concern, then recommend which of the three formulas fits and how many sessions you’ll need. Tell them about any active skin conditions, your pigmentation history including melasma triggers, recent waxing or exfoliation, sun exposure, and any medications or allergies. This is also where pricing is discussed in full.

Preparation
Suspend retinoids for 15 days before your first session. If you’ve recently waxed or used a harsh exfoliant, wait 7 to 14 days. Come in with clean skin and no active sunburn, open lesions, or cold sore outbreak. Let your provider know if anything has changed in your health history since your You Review.

The Treatment
Your provider cleanses and preps the skin, then massages the formula in by hand in layers, building intensity based on your skin type and thickness. Expect a mild tingling or warmth, most clients rate it 1 to 3 out of 10, similar to a glycolic peel. The zygomatic area tends to feel a little more spicy than the rest of the face. Nothing requiring numbing. A moisturizing cream is applied at the end. Face only takes 30 to 45 minutes; face and neck together takes around 15 minutes longer.

Aftercare
Makeup can go on immediately and exercise is fine the same day. Avoid saunas, steam rooms, and hot tubs for 48 hours, and skip retinoids and active acids for 24 hours. Apply SPF daily, non-negotiable through a PRX-PLUS or PRX C series. Resume your normal skincare three to five days after the last session in your series. Your provider will recommend the home care that extends your result.
Glow on the surface, works underneath
You will see initial brightness and smoothness within a few days of your first session. The deeper collagen response and pigmentation correction build over the course, typically four to six sessions spaced two to four weeks apart. Best results are usually visible at the end of the full course, with continued improvement for several months after.
Most clients return for maintenance every three to six months to keep the result consistent
PRX-T33 is one of the most reliable add-ons to other treatments, particularly microneedling, where the combined effect is meaningfully stronger than either alone.

Real Clients, Real Results
The Result Builds, Then it Keeps Building

Yes. PRX-T33 is the original name for the formula now sold as PRX Derm Perfexion. Same product, same mechanism, updated branding. If you’ve been searching for a PRX-T33 treatment near you, PRX Derm Perfexion is what you’re looking for.
Because it borrows the active chemistry of a peel without the outcome people associate with one. Traditional peels work by removing the surface layer of skin, which is what causes the flaking and the recovery window. PRX passes through the surface without injuring it and does its work underneath. The chemistry is peel-adjacent; the experience isn’t.
All three share the same core biostimulatory mechanism. Derm Perfexion is the tightening and toning original, built on TCA at 33%, and the best fit for fine lines, laxity, and thin or sensitive skin. PRX-PLUS adds homocysteic acid at 2% for pigmentation, making it the choice for melasma, dark spots, and deeper wrinkles in thicker skin. PRX C takes the PRX-PLUS base and adds Vitamin C for antioxidant support, targeting dull, grey, environmentally stressed skin. Your provider will match the formula to your concern at your You Review.
A traditional peel removes the surface skin to trigger renewal, which is why peeling and downtime come with the territory. PRX works deeper without damaging the surface. No flaking, no hiding, no social recovery window. All three formulas are classified as topical biostimulators rather than traditional peels.
Yes. With Derm Perfexion, most clients feel palpable firmness after the very first session, with the full collagen and elastin response building across the series. PRX created the needle-free biostimulator category and has been developed and clinically tested since 2012.
Between the three formulas: fine lines, skin laxity, dullness and greyness, uneven texture, enlarged
pores, rosacea-prone skin, acne-prone skin, superficial to moderate scarring, melasma,
hyperpigmentation and dark spots, deep wrinkles, and photodamage. Your provider will confirm the fit
and the formula at your You Review.
Yes. All three formulas pair well with microneedling. The micro-channels created during needling let the formula work at greater depth, which is particularly useful for scarring and textural concerns. Your provider will recommend the pairing only where it genuinely adds something.
Yes. Every OrangeTwist client starts with a complimentary You Review. With three formulas on the menu, matching the right one to your skin is the single most important decision in the whole process, and it isn’t one to make from a website. Your provider will assess your skin, confirm suitability, choose the formula, and build the series around your goals.
They read three things: your primary concern, your skin type and thickness, and your goals. Firmness and fragile skin point toward Derm Perfexion. Pigmentation and thick, sun-damaged skin point toward PRX-PLUS. Dullness and fatigue point toward PRX C. Many clients use more than one across a longer treatment plan.
Any active skin conditions, your pigmentation history including melasma triggers, retinoid use (which needs to stop 15 days before your first session), recent waxing or exfoliation, recent sun exposure, and any medications, allergies, or known sensitivities. A full health history helps your provider design the safest, most effective protocol.
Pricing starts from $152 and varies by formula and series length. Your provider will walk through exact pricing at your complimentary You Review before anything is agreed. TwistUp members receive exclusive pricing benefits on all treatments.
Around 30 to 45 minutes for face only, across all three formulas. Face and neck together takes approximately 15 minutes longer.
Derm Perfexion runs as four sessions one week apart. PRX-PLUS runs as five sessions two weeks apart. The longer gap is part of the protocol, since homocysteic acid needs that window to support the melanin shedding cycle, and rushing sessions reduces results. PRX C runs as four sessions two weeks apart. Your provider will confirm your series at your You Review.

With Derm Perfexion, most clients feel palpable firmness immediately after the first session, with visible improvement in texture and tone building across the series and best results at the end of the four-session series. With PRX-PLUS, brightening builds gradually, you may notice early luminosity, but the full pigmentation reduction develops across all five sessions and continues improving for months afterward. PRX C tends to show a radiance shift early, with resilience building across the series.
Results are cumulative across all three formulas and last longer with consistent maintenance. Derm Perfexion clients typically maintain monthly, or repeat a full series every six to eight months. PRX-PLUS clients typically maintain every six weeks. PRX-PLUS results in particular depend on consistent home care, diligent SPF use, and managing the triggers behind the original pigmentation.

No visible peeling, that’s the entire point. Some clients experience very mild dryness after the first session, managed easily with the moisturizing cream your provider applies post-treatment. If you notice darker patches in the first two days, that’s thicker skin drying out and it will flake off naturally. With PRX-PLUS, pigmented spots can look slightly more visible after early sessions. This is normal, as the formula brightens the surrounding skin first, which can temporarily make existing spots stand out more before they start to fade.
Skip retinoids and active acids for 24 hours. Avoid saunas, steam rooms, and hot tubs for 48 hours. Apply SPF daily throughout your series and beyond, and avoid unnecessary sun exposure while you’re in a PRX-PLUS or PRX C series. Resume your normal skincare three to five days after the final session.
Most clients rate the sensation 1 to 3 out of 10, similar to a glycolic peel. Mild tingling or warmth during application is normal, particularly across the zygomatic area, which tends to feel a little more spicy than the rest of the face. Nothing requiring numbing.
Yes. The no-peel approach avoids the surface disruption and post-inflammatory pigmentation risk that traditional peels can carry in darker skin tones. All three formulas are designed to be safe across every Fitzpatrick type, year-round, with no photosensitivity limitation on when you can have them. Your provider will tailor the protocol where needed.
Yes, and PRX Derm Perfexion is specifically indicated for it. Thin, delicate, and sensitive skin types that rule out more aggressive resurfacing are among the best candidates for the no-peel approach. Your provider will apply conservatively and adjust the layering to suit.
PRX is not recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have a compromised skin barrier, an active skin infection, an active cold sore outbreak, active inflammatory acne, or seborrheic dermatitis in the treatment area. Derm Perfexion is additionally unsuitable with a known allergy to TCA, hydrogen peroxide, or kojic acid. Retinoid use must stop 15 days before your first session, and anyone who has recently waxed or used a harsh exfoliant should wait 7 to 14 days. Always disclose your full health history at your You Review.
Yes, with care, and PRX Derm Perfexion is often a good fit. It builds collagen to support a stronger skin barrier and is applied conservatively with lighter pressure on rosacea-prone skin. Let your provider know at your You Review so the protocol can be adjusted.
PRX can help with surface congestion and acne-prone skin, but it isn’t applied over active, inflamed breakouts. Your provider will assess where your skin is on the day and may recommend waiting or adjusting the treatment area.
