CoolSculpting Elite is the latest generation of the FDA-cleared cryolipolysis system from Allergan Aesthetics. It is one of the most widely studied non-surgical fat reduction treatments in the world, with millions of cycles performed globally. How CoolSculpting Elite works
Cryolipolysis works on a simple principle: fat cells freeze at a higher temperature than the surrounding skin and tissue. CoolSculpting Elite uses precisely calibrated cooling applicators to chill the fat in the treatment area to the temperature where the cells are damaged beyond repair, without harming anything around them. The damaged cells are then cleared naturally by the body over the following weeks and months.
Why permanent means permanent
The key word is permanent. Fat cells eliminated by CoolSculpting Elite do not regenerate. Existing fat cells in untreated areas can still expand or shrink with weight changes, which is why CoolSculpting Elite is positioned as a contouring tool, not a weight loss method. From the first hello to the moment you walk back out to the parking lot at Pavilions, here is how a CoolSculpting Elite visit at OrangeTwist Tustin actually runs.
Your You Review
Dianne will examine the areas you want to address, confirm what is pinchable and treatable with CoolSculpting Elite, and map out a realistic treatment plan, including whether pairing with Sofwave (for skin tightening on top) makes sense. Most areas need one or two sessions, with results building over three months. Pricing is walked through transparently before anything is booked.
Preparation
There is almost nothing to do beforehand. Eat as normal, stay hydrated, and wear comfortable clothing. Avoid blood thinners like ibuprofen, aspirin, and fish oil for a few days where possible to minimise the chance of mild bruising.
The Treatment
Your provider applies a gel pad and the CoolSculpting Elite applicator to the treatment area. The applicator suctions the tissue and begins cooling. The first few minutes are spicy as the area cools, then numbs. Most clients read, scroll, or rest during the session. Each cycle takes 35 to 45 minutes. Multiple areas can be treated in the same visit using dual applicators.
Aftercare
Expect some redness, mild swelling, numbness, or tingling in the treated area for a few hours to a few weeks. A massage immediately after each cycle helps activate the cell breakdown. There is no real downtime. You can drive yourself home and return to all normal activities immediately.

From Tustin Marketplace, head east on Irvine Boulevard and turn south onto Jamboree, then east onto Portola Parkway. From Irvine Spectrum, take Sand Canyon Avenue north to Portola Parkway. Both routes are under fifteen minutes outside of rush hour.

CoolSculpting Elite is designed for clients at or near a stable weight who want to address specific, pinchable areas of fat. It is not a weight loss treatment. If the fat in question is not pinchable, it is not the right tool. Dianne will assess what is treatable when you come in and tell you straight if an area is not a fit.
Often, yes, and our Tustin center is one of the few OC locations that runs both. CoolSculpting Elite reduces the fat layer. Sofwave delivers non-surgical lifting and skin tightening on top, useful for the under-chin, neck, and abdomen where loose skin can show after fat reduction.
